Masons Helping Kids.
Masons in the 64th District have fond memories of the Christmas parties held at the Masonic Home and School on Wichita Street. For years two or three lodges were assigned cottages to provide presents and food for Christmas for our kids. In 2005 the Masonic Home and School of Texas closed as a residence facility for children.
Nineteen acres of that property and the buildings have been donated to the All Church Home organization, of which some of our kids reside. The buildings are undergoing a 12 million dollar renovation project which should be completed by 2011. The 55-60 kids will not be able to move into the facility until next year so this year the Christmas party will be held at the Fort Worth Masonic Temple.
